Almost 70 years ago, Sinclair Lewis (author of Elmer Gantry, Mainstreet, Babbit...) wrote It Can't Happen Here (now out of print). It was written in the time of the Great Depression, the fascist threats in Europe and Asia, and political corruption and general unrest in America (what's new about that?). The book was fiction, but definitely plausible. Then, and now. The digital version of It Can't Happen Here is now available here in PDF format. It is not locked by Adobe's e-book reader, and may be printed or saved on any computer or laptop. The cost is $8.95. You may pay online through the paypal service. We will e-mail the PDF file to the address that you indicate on your PayPal payment within 24 hours. |
